Our next nationally recognized CEU provider will be Oleg Bouimer. Also a speaker at the 2009 Annual Convention of the FSMTA, Mr. Bouimer is a specialist in Russian Sports Massage and will be providing an intensive course offering a blend of scientifically developed and easy to follow protocols of massage. The wide range of kneading techniques is explored while the biomechanics of therapists are addressed. This is an invigorating hands-on course with emphasis on working deeper with less effort It gives the edge in working with professional athletes as well as fitness enthusiasts. This course is about having fun while learning how to boost your existing practice now.

July 11, 2009 - 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Jennifer Marshall, a Heritage instructor will be teaching the Integrated Myo-Neuro Therapy class. Understanding basic movement and the process of muscular therapies will be included. We will examine active and passive movements along Dermatome pathways. This will enhance and balance a productive session for your client.

July 25, 2009 – 8:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Cliff and Eleanor Vinson MH, Heritage instructors will be offering “Salve Your Life” – a survival kit for body workers. This is the What? Why? and How? of salve making. A hands on approach to creating extracts and solvents, students will go through the entire procedure from herb to usable salve and take home a jar.
Fresh herb identification from locally grown gardens, “scratch & sniff”. We will discuss the Law of Simplicity, herbs for midwifery, infant massage and sports massage. Learn what computer programs are available to understand the origin, best time to harvest and use of specific herbs. We will also be providing demonstrations in ear candling, effective hydrotherapy and the dynamics of Therapeutic Touch to direct energy for healing. Other topics discussed will be detox and alternative therapy wisdom.

July 27 and 28, 2009 – 8:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Judah Lyons will be presenting a class in structural integration stemming from the insights of Dr. Ida P. Rolf. Learn a whole new array of “tools” and how, when and where to apply them to change the structure and alleviate any painful conditions that are brought to the table. Body awareness is taught to allow the practitioner to accomplish the techniques with the least amount of energy. The concepts of active and passive movement are demonstrated that engage the clients homeostatic response facilitating a deeper and longer lasting healing. Learn the concepts of vectors and layers, which accomplishes the release of fascial adhesions and strain patterns. Learn to view the body statically and in movement bringing clarity to the painful conditions that are brought to the table and how to deal with them in an efficient manner. Athletic applications are taught throughout the seminar opening the potential to work with recreational and professional athletics.

August 1 & 2, 2009 - 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Dennis Riggs, Heritage instructor, Colon Hydrotherapist will be offering a class on cellulite massage. Learn more about using different massage techniques to change the dimpling look of cellulite on the hips and legs. We will talk about what cellulite is and the theory of how cellulite massage is beneficial. Learn how to measure and document your work so your client can see and feel the difference. We will also talk about body wraps, what works and what does not work for cellulite. We will cover other modalities that claim to rid the appearance of cellulite. Compare massage techniques with LPG Endermology and the use of the GX99 or similar equipment. Discuss the use of lotions alone or incorporated with mechanical techniques.
