Heritage offers a Veterinary Technician program designed to prepare graduates for entry-level positions in animal care professions. Graduates of this Oklahoma City Veterinary Technician school provide animal health care in conjunction with Veterinarians. Veterinary Techs must be knowledgeable in the care and handling of animals, their life processes, medical and surgical nursing, anesthesiology, diagnostic imaging, and clinical laboratory procedures.

Heritage Institute and Heritage College are institutionally Accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). The Veterinary Technician programs at Heritage College in Oklahoma City and Heritage Institute in Fort Myers are programmatically accredited by the AVMA as a program for educating veterinary technicians. Veterinary Technician programs at Heritage campuses in Wichita, Little Rock, and Jacksonville have applied for accreditation by the AVMA-Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities.
