In this online ICD-10 training course, students will be exposed to Procedural Coding and Reimbursement Methodologies. Students will learn coding procedures performed in inpatient settings and explore the organization of the International Classification of Diseases – 10th Edition and Healthcare Procedural Coding Systems. In the Reimbursement Methodologies portion of the course students are introduced to the main reimbursement methods used in today’s healthcare industry and learn to analyze reporting tools to identify data sets relevant to the reimbursement process. Upon completion of this course, students will be eligible to take the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist exam administered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
